Don’t get nearly as loud as I’d hoped,
The speakers are louder than my laptop speakers alone. However, I had the original HP compact speakers (version 1.0, I’m assuming), and those were originally MUCH louder for the first few months that I had them. The only reason why I got these is because my other minispeakers were dying after a year of overuse. The 2.0 version is designed aesthetically better than the original–the speakers stand up on their own quite well, whereas the 1.0 version fell over a lot (which wasn’t a big deal or anything)–but at least for me, the 2.0 version is not nearly as loud as the original. It’s hardly louder than my computer on its own. And no, my hearing isn’t just becoming impaired

|Fantastic little speakers,
All I needed was a set of very small speakers for my office computer. I had very little space and these little guys fit perfectly. The sound quality is great and I love them. My only quibble is there’s no external volume control on the speakers themselves. Other than that, I am very pleased with them.

Great speakers. I sent them over to my step son serving over seas. He say’s they’re great. My wife tried them out first so I had to order her a set.

|Such power from such tiny speakers,
Love these speakers. They are so tiny but work better than the speakers I had that were 5 times as big. They fit perfectly under my double monitor display at work. You can barely see them. I actually had to turn the volume down on my computer when I first used them. What was a comfortable volume with my old speakers was now loud with these. These are great. An excellent buy!

Not Bad for the Price,
The clarity of sound is indeed present as noted by a couple of reviewers. But there’s not quite enough volume to hear all the clarity that well! They are much smaller than I expected but they are certainly better than the speaker(s) in my PC or laptop.

Simple,
These speakers are simple, but they serve their purpose.I don’t need incredible sound quality because I use them at work. I cannot use headphones and the computer speakers are just horrible. I just don’t like that they don’t have a separate volume control. One has to use the computer to put volume up or down.
